Uttarakhand police has lodged an FIR, after some woman IPS officers posted at the Lal Bahadur Shastri National Academy of Administration (LBSNAA), were subjected to offensive and obscene content on Twitter.
The academy said “Today some lady IPS Officers have been targeted with abusive, derogatory and obscene content by certain twitter accounts. The Academy strongly condemns this malicious and derogatory tweet and has lodged an F.I.R. with Uttarakhand Police in this regard.”
The incident has evoked sharp reactions from the associations of IPS, IAS and IFS officers. All these associations have demanded strict action against the culprits.
Besides them, the officials of Central Armed Police Forces (CAPFs) have also called for action against such “perverted minds”.
The IAS (central) association has asked Twitter to remove such posts and handles from its platform.
