SEBI whole-time member Madhabi Puri Buch gets six-month extension

The Modi government has extended the appointment of Madhabi Puri Buch as Whole Time Member (WTM) of the Securities and Exchange Board of India by a period of six months on Friday. Buch was appointed in April 2017 and her three-year tenure ends in March.

Her responsibilities at the regulator included handling a range of departments from market and market intermediaries regulation to integrated surveillance and economic and policy analysis.
