Modi govt effects bureaucratic rejig, M K Gupta is new Vice Chairman, DDA

The Modi government on Tuesday (18.01.2022) cleared the appointment and reshuffle of Additional Secretary level posts in various departments and ministries.

The name of the officers and their postings are as follows :

1. Ms. B V Umadevi (IFoS:1987:CG) has been appointed as Additional Secretary, Ministry of Home Affairs. Presently, she is serving as Additional Secretary, Ministry of Environment, Forest & Climate Change.
2. Shashank Goel (IAS:1990:TG) has been appointed as Additional Secretary in the Ministry of Labour and Employment. Presently, he is serving in the cadre.
3. Shailesh Kumar Singh (IAS:1991:JH), presently in the cadre, has been appointed as Additional Secretary and Development Commissioner, Ministry of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises.
4. Manish Kumar Gupta (IAS:1991:AGMUT) has been appointed as Vice Chairman, Delhi Development Authority, Ministry of Housing & Urban Affairs in the rank and pay of Additional Secretary. Presently, he is serving as Principal Commissioner, Delhi Development Authority.
5. Chanchal Kumar (IAS:1992:BH) has been appointed as Managing Director, National Highways & Infrastructure Development Corporation Ltd., Ministry of Road Transport & Highways in the rank and pay of Additional Secretary. Presently, he is posted in the cadre.
6. Ashish Srivastava (IAS:1992:MP) has been appointed as Additional Secretary and Financial Adviser, Ministry of Health & Family Welfare by cancelling the order dated 04.12.2021 regarding his appointment as Additional Secretary, Cabinet Secretariat (SR). Presently, he is serving as Additional Secretary, Ministry of Women and Child Development.
7. Han Ranjan Rao (IAS:1994:MP) has been appointed as Administrator, Universal Service Obligation Fund, Department of Telecommunications in the rank and pay of Additional Secretary. Presently, he is serving as Additional Secretary, Department of Telecommunications.
8. V. L. Kantha Rao (IAS:1992:MP) has been appointed as Additional Secretary, Department of Telecommunications in place of Han Ranjan Rao (IAS:1994:MP) upon his appointment as Administrator, Universal Service Obligation Fund. Presently, he is serving as Additional Secretary and Director General (Acquisition), Ministry of Defence.
9. Pankaj Agrawal (IAS:1992:MP) has been appointed as Additional Secretary and Director General (Acquisition), Ministry of Defence in place of V. L. Kantha Rao (IAS:1992:MP) upon his appointment as Additional Secretary, Department of Telecommunications. Presently, he is serving as Additional Secretary, Cabinet Secretariat.
10. Vikram Dev Dutt (IAS:1993:AGMUT) has been appointed as Chairman & Managing Director, Air India Ltd., Ministry of Civil Aviation in the rank and pay of Additional Secretary. Presently, he is serving in the cadre.
11. Ms. Anuradha Thakur (IAS:1994:HP) has been appointed as Additional Secretary, Ministry of Corporate Affairs. Presently, she is serving as Additional Secretary, Cabinet Secretariat.
12. Santosh Kumar Sarangi (IAS:1994:OR) has been appointed as Director General, Directorate General of Foreign Trade, Ministry of Commerce & Industry in the rank and pay of Additional Secretary. Earlier, he was serving as Additional Secretary, Department of School Education and Literacy, Ministry of Education.
13. Naresh Pal Gangwar (IAS:1994:RJ) has been appointed as Additional Secretary, Ministry of Environment, Forest & Climate Change in place of Ms. B V Umadevi (IFoS:1987:CG) upon her appointment as Additional Secretary, Ministry of Home Affairs. Presently, he is Joint Secretary, Ministry of Environment, Forest & Climate Change.
