The Narendra Modi goverment, on January 8, 2019, cleared the empanelment of 14 IPS officers of 1997 and 1998 batch to hold the post of Inspector General/equivalent level at the Centre.
The names of the officers are :

6. Bharti Arora (IPS:1998:HY)
7. Saurabh Singh (IPS:1998:HY)
8. Thummala Vikram (IPS:1998:KL)
9. Santosh Rastogi (IPS:1998:MH)
10. Sajid Farid Shapoo (IPS:1998:MP)
11. Ravi Kant (IPS:1998:OR)
12. S Dev Dutta Singh (IPS:1998:OR)
13. Vikram Singh Mann (IPS:1998:TG)
