11 officers appointed to Joint Secretary level posts in GoI

The Modi government on Friday (15.09.2023) appointed eleven officers to the positions of Joint Secretary or equivalent in various ministries and departments.

The Modi government on Friday (15.09.2023) appointed eleven officers to the positions of Joint Secretary or equivalent in various ministries and departments.

Here are the details of the officers and their new postings:

  1. Puneet Yadav (IAS:1999:WB) has been appointed as Joint Secretary, Department of Administrative Reforms and Public Grievances for an overall tenure of five years ending 21.09.2025.
  2. Manoj Sethi (ICAS:1993) has been appointed as Joint Secretary & FA, Ministry of Chemicals & Fertilizers for an overall tenure of five years ending 04.02.2025. He replaces Sanjay Rastogi (IAS:1991:OR).
  3. Vijay Nehra (IAS:2001:GJ) has been appointed as Senior Directing Staff (CS), National Defence College (NDC) under the Ministry of Defence, for a tenure of five years. He will replace Priyank Bharti (IAS:2001:PB).
  4. Brijesh Pandey (IAS:2004:TR) has been appointed as Joint Secretary, Ministry of Development of North Eastern Region (DoNER) for a tenure of five years in place of Saurabh Endley (IRSME: 1990).
  5. Vijay Ranjan Singh (IFoS:1996:KN) has been appointed as CMD, Security Printing & Minting Corporation of India Ltd. (SPMCIL) under the Department of Economic Affairs, for a tenure of five years. He will replace Tripti Patra Ghosh (ICAS:1994).
  6. Manish Bhardwaj (IAS:1997:GJ) has been appointed as Deputy Director General (DDG), Unique Identification Authority of India (UIDAI) under the Ministry of Electronics & Information Technology for a tenure of five years. He replaces Rupinder Singh (IAS: 1996: MH).
  7. Sumita Singh (CSS) has been appointed as Joint Secretary in the Ministry of Home Affairs, for a tenure of five years.
  8. Vishal Chauhan (IAS:1998:SK) has been appointed as Member (Administration), National Highways Authority of India (NHAI) for an overall tenure of five years ending 30.11.2025.
  9. Anandrao Vishnu Patil (IAS:1998:TN) has been appointed as Joint Secretary, Department of School Education & Literacy for a tenure of five years.
  10. Beena M (IAS:1999:KL) has been appointed as Development Commissioner (Handlooms), Office of Development Commissioner (Handlooms) for a combined tenure of seven years ending 03.10.2025.
  11. Pradeep Kumar Agrawal (IAS:2006:PB) has been appointed as Joint Secretary, Department of Water Resources, River Development and Ganga Rejuvenation, for a tenure of five years in place of T Rajeshwari (ISS:1985).
